Invoices out today, money in sooner.

An invoice is a factual document: what was agreed, what was done, what is owed. Producing one should not require three people, a spreadsheet and a reconciliation exercise.

What it does

From approved work to money received

Generate from the ledger, not from memory

Approved time and disbursements pull into the invoice — fixed fee, hourly, retainer, contingency or a mixture.

Send a link the client can pay

The client pays from the invoice; the payment is matched to the invoice, and the receipt is issued without anyone typing one.

Follow up before it is awkward

Aged debtors are surfaced early, with reminders that go to the right person at the right time.

What it means for you

What it means for cash flow

  • Billing day becomes an afternoon instead of a week of chasing figures.
  • Clients pay against a clean document — line by line, with the disbursements explained.
  • Receipts stop being a manual job, which also stops the “we never received a receipt” conversation.
  • The partner can see who owes what without asking anyone to compile it.

Multiple currencies and partial payments are supported — useful if your clients sit outside your jurisdiction.

In practice

The billing afternoon

Four moves, all inside the matter.

Review what is unbilled

Approved time and disbursements for the period, per matter, with anything odd visible.

Generate the invoice

Choose the type — fixed, hourly, retainer, contingency or hybrid — and the firm’s wording and tax handling apply.

Send it with a payment link

The client can pay directly; the link is tracked against the client and the matter.

Reconcile and receipt

The payment is matched, the receipt issued, and the matter’s financial position updated.

Questions lawyers ask

Questions about getting paid

Yes, per matter. Useful when your clients, or your disbursements, sit outside your own jurisdiction.

Recorded against the invoice with the amount still outstanding tracked, so a part payment is not mistaken for a settled bill.

Yes, and it is tracked separately — client money is not fee income until it is transferred, and the transfer is recorded as such.

Billing day, in the demo

Bring a real (or realistic) matter with unbilled time, and we will produce the invoice in front of you — including the receipt.
